Toyota Racing Development (TRD) USA gives shape to Toyota's performance image.  From its 47,000-square-foot headquarters in Costa Mesa, California, the Toyota Motor Sales, USA subsidiary designs, develops and assembles racing engines. In addition, TRD has establishes an aggressive product developments program which had lead to new advancements in its line of performance aftermarket parts. And to provide support to Toyota owners who race, TRD administers the Toyota Motorsports/TRD Contingency Award Program.  In its 15th year, this effort supports drivers at the grassroots level by providing cash awards to Toyota-powered teams that compete successfully in various types of motorsport events across the United States.
